    Governing an Island.

Other than player reputation, what are the benefits of governing an island? I've never really understood why people go through so much trouble to take leadership of something like that.

You get paid from the island taxes. For example your stall rent purchases of dubs and etc.

It's always a loss in poe unless you never get attacked (lol). Which is why the economy sucks.

True and if you happen to get an island thats small and only populated with a few people you make pretty much nothing.

What if it was a medium sized island? How would that be?

Pretty much garbage. the only island worth really thing would be the main islands. Like Admiral on Emerald which you would spend 10-15mil for the kade then mils on protecting it and paying jobbers. Pretty much pointless unless you have a huge stack of poe you dont need lol.
