Does ypp taint any computer that a banned account was played on?

Say you have a VM but also play that account outside the VM, will both systems be tainted if your account is to be banned? Or is it only a computer that you had tried to log into after your account is already banned?

No, only your VM will be tainted.
But your IP will be flagged if you're banned on the VM, so your main account (outside the VM) could get banned for evasion later on.

So do they keep track of the systems that they noticed suspicious bot activities and taint that computer?

A virtual machine is a software computer that, like a physical computer, runs an operating system and applications.

So essentially an emulation of a PC within another PC? Cool, thanks. Sorry to distract your thread.
