    Looking for notebook.

Alright well, I am looking to buy a new notebook for my job. Basically this is what I need:

    Quad-Core with 2,2ghz+
    8GB+ RAM
    Resolution of 1920*1080
    500GB+ HDD

At the moment I have a Dell XPS17 in sight with an i7-2670QM CPU, GeForce GT 555M, 4*4096GB 1333MHz RAM, 750GB HDD, 17,3" display and a backlit keyboard for ~1300.

Anyone can hint me to something better at around this price?
    Cheers.

I actually have the one released 3 years after this... everything is great but sadly the screen resolution is a bit too small

A netbook with a 17" monitor will cost quite a bit just so you know, does it NEED to be a 1080 monitor? Cause a 15" would cost quite a bit less, but it wouldn't give you a 1080 resolution.

A netbook with those stats? Why not just upgrade to a computer and a slightly bigger carrier bag? Most notebooks have 512mb-1gb of RAM.

He didn't say he wants a netbook lol O_o.
    What speed of RAM?
    What generation processor?
    What speed of HDD?
    Do you require a GPU?

I don't know that processor, but I would maybe upgrade the RAM and HDD on your existing laptop rather than get a new one...

1333MHz, i7 1-3, 7200rpm, yes, i'd like to see something on my screen

And I already have a 17,3" Dell Studio with only 1600pixels and I'd like to have one with full HD now. The XPS17 even has a 3D capable one.
And yes, I want a notebook and I said that. I already got a PC with these specs (and better) and also a notebook but now I need a second... So that's why.

If you mean by GPU an extra graphics card, the one in the XPS17 should be enough as I mainly need processing power and RAM. This is a plain work laptop and even if not, I don't own any graphic intensive games.

    EDIT:
The thing is about me needing a second one, not upgrading the "old" one.

If it's a work laptop (Not a notebook) why do you NEED a full 1080 resolution? That strikes me as odd, and a waste of money.
