    packers

This is a question for sticky. where ever he is or may be stuck to.

What is a good packer you recommend for .exe files.

i have some of my code for a program i wrote obfuscated. but as im sure you know that is very easy to undo if you know what your doing. a german suggested i put it through another packer. he said UPX. was wondering for your inputs.

also if there was something else other than a packer you recommend for security, that would help too.

I think case you're after an obfuscator. A popular one right now is Confuser (google it).

im not after an obfuscator. i need another step of security past those. i have only been in the security scene about a year and i can deobfuscate those programs. so i figure most people can. so any other suggestions?

Packers can always be unpacked, plus they'll usually be flagged as a virus, since malware creators use packers to hide their malware.

    Sorry.

Sticksalot suggested Redgate to me so I will suggest that to you if you are after an obfuscator on behalf of Sticksalot.

    Is that better Sticksalot?
